I'm Isaac. Thank you, sincerely, for taking an interest in this open-source project.

Going back to the very beginning, I was really just riding the AI wave like many other developers, trying to build small things that could actually put LLMs to use.

But I quickly ran into a hurdle most of us eventually face.

Many of these side projects start because I want to turn an interesting idea into something real and share it with people.

The problem is that these small experiments rarely make sense as standalone paid products, while the developer—someone like me—still has to carry the fuel bill for all those LLM tokens.

So even when a developer makes something genuinely fun and wants to share it, the project can easily turn into a one-way cycle of giving more and more just to keep it alive.

That is what pushed me to build Pedelec as another option.

Pedelec lets you move the act of “calling an LLM” away from your own server and toward the AI Agent already running on the user's computer.

For Web App developers, I believe this opens up an entirely new lane. You can try bolder ideas without having to worry first about what the bill will look like at the end of the month.

For users, it means they can keep using the AI Agents, subscriptions, and usage they already have to enjoy more interesting services.

That is the kind of multi-sided win Pedelec wants to create.

I know you may still have one hesitation.

If Pedelec's main value is being a bridge between two giants—the browser and AI providers—what happens if one of them eventually builds the bridge themselves?

My answer is simple: if that happens, it means this direction was right and we just happened to get here a little earlier. Isn't that something worth being happy about?

So stop overthinking it and come build with us.
